(This is about a Yorki named Newman aka Newmy who got adopted)
There were two people who came by and saw a Yorki mix, that was recently put into the pound. They immediately contacted my Nana and told her. As she was becoming distresed that her mother was soon to pass away. Nana went there the following day with her two good friends. At first she thought that Newmy was a bit wild and thought that maybe he wouldn't be good for her. As Newmy didn't really seem to like other dogs. But despite that Nana saw the sweetness of him and decided to adopt him. They soon went back to her friend's house, but Newmy went in and Nana didn't even know that her friends dogs were loose. They were to soon find out Newmy really was good with dogs, but maybe just a bit frieghtened at first. Shortly after Nana had gotton Newmy, her mother died. Nana knew know that Newmy now was her friend, who would stay by her in this terrieable loss.
Today, Newmy is a very happy dog, who loves cuddling, chasing tennis balls, playing with other dogs, and watching T.V. I recently saw him for the first time, and it made me think 'friends come from anywhere, they're all shapes and sizes. And it just happened that this little sweetie walked into my Nana's life, just when she need someone most.
What I'm trying to say is, that someone doesn't need a 1,000 dollar purebred to have a best friend. That's why I really want to help out shelters, because you're best friend may be waiting in there for you.
